Eduardo Pineda joined the United States Community Mural Movement in 1978 and is active in San Francisco Bay Area, California. In addition he is a museum professional with 17 years of experience in museum education, most recently as the Education Director at the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD), 2005-07. Before that he was at SFMOMA, 1990-2005. In addition, he collaborated on the professional development of K-12 teachers in arts integration through the Alameda County Office of Education, California College of Art and Harvard University Project Zero, 2003-06. Pineda has artworks in the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco's Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts and the San Francisco Arts Commission public art collection. He earned a M.A. in interdisciplinary arts at San Francisco State University in 1988 and a BFA in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1983.
